Curate a compelling and trend-appropriate product range that aligns with the brand's target audience.
Ensure timely procurement and product availability across all retail and online channels.
Evaluate product performance and make strategic buying decisions for future assortments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Ensure all products meet the required quality and compliance standards.
Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Conduct regular market research and use data-based insights to guide buying and assortment planning.
Identify new product opportunities and support product development initiatives.
Monitor stock levels and implement effective replenishment and allocation strategies.
Work with inventory teams to optimize stock turnover and reduce excess/aging inventory.
Define optimal pricing strategies to achieve desired gross profit (GP) margins.
Review sales reports to analyze product performance by category, store, and channel.
Make informed decisions on markdowns, promotions, reorders, and product phasing-out.
Collaborate with finance and retail teams to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Coordinate closely with design, marketing, visual merchandising, and retail teams to ensure cohesive product launches.
Provide VM and merchandising inputs to stores for better product display and sell-through.
Partner with the E-commerce team to plan assortments, promotions, and strategies to boost online sales.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category management (fashion/apparel industry preferred).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Understanding of retail and e-commerce operations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising tools/software.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
