Must have:

Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and ECS/EKS Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with cloud governance policies Collaborate with developers to streamline code integration and deployment Maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes

Good to have:Knowledge of AWS services like EKS, RDS, S3, EC2, IAM. Ansible Kubernetes Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline/Jenkins.

Responsibilities


1. We are seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You'll collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and automation of applications on AWS.

2. Developers have a combination of technical and soft skills that allow them to recommend the best approach.

Details Responsibilities of a Devops Engineer:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS) Familiarity with Git, version control, and branching strategies Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud cost optimization

CI/CD Pipeline Management

o Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD

o Debugging build failures and deployment issues

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

o Knowledge of tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation

o Basic scripting for provisioning environments

Source Code Management

o Git basics: branching, merging, conflict resolution

o Setting up repos, managing access, reviewing commits

Monitoring & Logging

o Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar

o Setting up alerts and identifying root causes

Basic Networking

o Understanding DNS, load balancers, firewalls

o Network troubleshooting in cloud/on-prem systems

Scripting Languages

o Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for routine tasks? Cloud & Platform Exposure Cloud Platforms (Basic Level)

o Hands-on with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

o Creating and maintaining virtual machines, storage, etc.

Containerization & Orchestration

o Basic Docker knowledge (creating images, running containers)

o Exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShift preferred, but not mandatory

Operational Skills

Environment Maintenance

o Regular patching, config updates, version management

o Handling access controls and secrets rotation

Incident Management

o Quickly responding to failures in lower environments

o Documenting steps taken and contributing to RCA

Automation & Scheduling

o Automating common routines and jobs (e.g., backups, cleanups)

Soft Skills & Collaboration

Team Coordination

o Working closely with developers and QA teams

o Clear communication of environment changes or issues

Documentation

o Writing SOPs, playbooks, environment details

Problem Solving

o Diagnosing issues independently or with cross-team input
