Manage end-to-end payroll for monthly, weekly, and off-cycle runs.
Validate salary inputs, attendance, overtime, incentives, arrears, and deductions.
Perform payroll reconciliation and ensure accurate disbursement.
Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
2. Compliance & Statutory Management
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, gratuity, bonus, etc.).
Prepare and file statutory returns and manage inspections/audits.
Stay updated on payroll legislation and regulatory changes.
3. Reporting & Analytics
Prepare monthly payroll reports, variance analysis, cost summaries, and audit schedules.
Support finance with GL postings and payroll accounting.
Provide data for budgeting and workforce planning.
4. Employee Support
Address and resolve payroll-related employee queries.
Handle full & final settlements, leave encashments, and exit payments.
Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding, transfers, and compensation updates.
5. Systems & Process Improvement :
Work with HRIS/Payroll software
6. Team Collaboration
Mentor junior payroll team members.
Work closely with HR, Finance, and external auditors/vendors.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce, HR, Accounting, or related field.
4-7 years of payroll processing experience mandatory
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory laws.
Proficiency with payroll systems and MS Excel.
