Job Description

Oversee the smooth functioning of solar PV plant operations to ensure maximum generation and uptime. Monitor daily plant performance through SCADA or remote monitoring systems and respond to alarms or faults. Implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for inverters, modules, transformers, switchgear, and BOS (Balance of System). Coordinate with DISCOMs, SLDCs, and local authorities as required for grid compliance and operational reporting. Supervise field teams and service contractors for execution of on-site maintenance, cleaning, and vegetation control. Analyze generation reports and equipment logs to identify performance issues and areas for improvement. Ensure adherence to safety procedures (Loto, PPE, PTW, etc.) and environmental standards. Maintain all documentation including checklists, maintenance logs, warranty claims, and inventory records. Assist in budgeting and resource planning for O&M operations. Conduct periodic audits and inspections to ensure system integrity and compliance with internal/external standards. Train and mentor technicians and field staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering. 4-8 years of hands-on experience in solar PV plant O&M (ground-mounted and/or rooftop). Strong understanding of solar components including PV modules, inverters, transformers, SCADA, and protection systems. Familiarity with regulatory compliances related to renewable energy and grid integration. Proficient in fault diagnosis and root cause analysis. Experience with CMMS, data analysis tools, and reporting dashboards.

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of IEC standards, MNRE guidelines, and state electricity board regulations. Certification in Solar PV systems, electrical safety, or project management is a plus. Strong interpersonal and team management skills. * Ability to handle remote sites and willingness to travel if required.
