The role will require to set-up and support the Intercompany Accounting as well as financial consolidation activities for the entity recently acquired by Amex GBT.
What You'll Do
Prepare Intercompany Invoices for all Intercompany charge-outs as and when required.
Prepare Intercompany settlements monthly to settle IC positions and coordinate with Treasury to execute the settlement including accounting.
Coordinate resolution of necessary clearance entries to address out-of-balance and seek approval for close of books based on established materiality thresholds and close protocols during monthly close of books.
Approve and set up new inter-company relationships in NetSuite system to support business and treasury operations.
Run the inter-company governance reports and distribute for review to Regional Controllership teams monthly as needed for SOX and Tax compliance.
Perform month close accounting and reconciliations.
Perform accounting for Consolidation process and support analysis for better month, quarter and year close.
Work closely with accounting, treasury and consolidations team to design and implement inter-company monthly settlement process in NetSuite system.
Engage in Amex GBT projects as subject matter expert for intercompany process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounting, business and other controllership teams.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA with 1-3 years of proven accounting and finance experience in MNC environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with CA Intermediate or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) with 5-7 years of accounting and finance experience in shared services environment.
Strong accounting and financial acumen with excellent communication skills
Experience with Financial systems (HFM, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
Proficiency with Excel.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, assess requirement and take decisions.
Good email-writing and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and support teams/stakeholders across multiple time zones.
