Job Summary: About the Role : Preparation of TV show budgets for shows/events based on the input received from the creative team . Good knowledge about on-ground functions/shows/events and strong network with trade unions & associations Should possess working knowledge on markets rates/vendors for Studio Renting & TV/Film production equipment like Camera, Lights, LED etc Engage in negotiations with key partners to ensure Channel\'s cost objective and legalpositionon important clauses are preserved and standard frameworks respected. Develop market intelligence and working relationships with vendors/suppliers and come up with rate cards. Build and manage working relationships with key Internal & external stakeholders. Initiate processes for making rate contracts and having effective controls on Individual costs. Coordination with Executive producers/programming team for smooth on ground execution MIS reporting & contract management. Qualifications in accountancy is desirable. Context: The Business Commercial team of Star Suvarna is looking for Senior Executive /Assistant Manager role who is passionate about media production and budgeting. The resource will be responsible for proactively partnering with business stakeholders to fulfill their requirements at optimal cost. The role will involve understanding market, television production, negotiating & closing deals while coordinating & aligning with all key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Cost Negotiation- Negotiation with Supply and services vendors to optimize cost and drawing budgets. Vendor Management- Identify Right suppliers to source quality equipment at optimal costs. Initiate Due Diligence for new vendors and tracking the same. Contract creation and Management- Identify services that can be standardized through contracts, establish systems to ensure adherence to contracts by vendors and ensuring timely payments for the same. Ensuring process compliance- Ensuring transactions are conforming to guidelines and policies with respect to set guidelines/DOA. Process Improvements- Identify gaps in processes to create suitable SOPs and drive the same. Prepare MIS for reporting. Periodic analysis of spends and verification of bills and teamwork. Performance Measures: Negotiated Savings/ delivering business value for all deals/orders and effective MIS reports. Implementing best practices to Improve efficiency of function & accounting of expenses. TAT for closure of business requirements with full compliance Feedback from key stakeholders on collaboration. Qualifications: Proficient in English and Kannada/Hindi Graduate with good communication skills (spoken & written) with experience in films & TV production Personal Attributes: Exceptional communication and articulation skills are required. Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills. Self-driven and sense of ownership Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills (Internal & External) Balance the creative expectations with the financial & market resources available Comprehension: Ability to read and understand clauses in agreements that pose monetary risk to the business Collaboration: Interactive and have cross-functional communication with all internal/external stakeholders Tactical in resolving conflicts with vendors/internal stakeholders. Disciplined in recording and documenting daily activities and critical communications through minutes.
