Key responsibilities



Wharf Supervisor:



Oversee the vessel operations in the wharf Respond with speed during emergencies and bad weather conditions Anticipate and rectify any unforeseen difficulty during the cargo operations Liaise with Contract Managers and Vendors and ensure compliance with deadlines Adhere to Safety, Health and Environment Regulations and norms set out by DPW at all times and ensure compliance with Labour regulations Monitor equipment handling time especially for key cranes Liaise with IT for any system related improvements Report cause of delay if any and hand over the shift smoothly at the end of the shift to ensure a smooth transition In case of accidents is part of the Investigation team Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved.

Yard Supervisor:



Optimize use of Yard equipments such as RTG Cranes based on terminal lines and container types Inputs provided at the end of the Shift should ensure a smooth transition and handing over process Continuously liaise with the Tower Controller and monitor the movement of the Trucks Ensure safety of all assets at all times during Yard Operations and also manage the code of conduct of all which includesTruckers Responsible for ensuring discipline of all employees and external resources and can take appropriate action against insubordination Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved.

Gate supervisor:



Liaise continuously with the Yard Supervisor and monitor the incoming and outgoing truck movements Liaise with documentation centre for smooth functioning of gate operation. Handle emergencies with speed and ensure protection of assets Supervise Gate staff to work efficiently to prevent delays, proper checks , maintain a harmonious work environment and ensure protection of assets and prevention of damage. Assist in case of exceptions like report, for slow system, lack of support Ensure liaise with gate surveyors for damage reports and ensure same is updated in system. Ensure ODC, IMO, and Reefer details are properly updated in system. Control ODC gate whenever necessary for access. Liaise with Customers & stakeholders for issues related gate with gate movement/documentation. Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives. Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved.

ICD Supervior:



Liaise with railways, planners, yard, train operators, other terminals to ensure smooth operations Responsible for Safety and Security within his area of work Report any damage or exceptions that occur within his area of work Manage any labour related issues and adhere to timelines and targets as far as possible Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved.

Documentation Supervisor

:

Manage documentation with shipping line within standardized formats Ensure compliance and follow procedure in case of exceptions Finalize list for loading Communicate with multiple stakeholders and ensure quick redressal Proper Updating and database management on operational front. Updating of IAL, EAL, Damage reports Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved. Ensuring Custom formalities and custodianship is maintained. Verify documents without making errors Training and team building of Documentation staff. * Liaise with the other personnel for cargo, ship related to information
