Job Description

The

Assistant Manager, Travel Process

supports the Travel Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the travel department. They are responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate handling of travel bookings, providing excellent customer service, managing a team of travel agents, and optimizing travel processes.

Key Responsibilities



Team Leadership and Management

: Supervise and train a team of travel agents, ensuring they meet performance targets and adhere to company policies. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs to foster professional growth. Handle team schedules, manage workload distribution, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.

Operational Oversight

: Oversee the end-to-end travel booking process, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel-related services. Ensure all travel arrangements are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and resolve any issues or complaints that may arise. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on team productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Customer Service

: Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions. Maintain high standards of customer service and build strong relationships with clients and vendors. Gather customer feedback to identify areas for service improvement.

Process Improvement

: Assist in developing and implementing new travel policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and travel regulations to recommend process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of travel processes.

Qualifications and Skills



Education

: A bachelor's degree in tourism, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

: 3-5 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency with GDS (Global Distribution Systems) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo. Familiarity with travel management software and online booking tools.

Soft Skills

: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
