Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Mechanical Design (Sheet Metal)
Vertiv is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join its DC Power Engineering team. Vertiv focuses on the development and delivery of innovative Telecom Site controls solution within the Telecom domain. Vertiv provides good working environment that is flexible.
POSITION : Assistant Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Mechanical Design
DEPARTMENT : Engineering - DC Power LOB
JOB DESCRIPTION The candidate will focus on the design and development of sheet metal enclosures for Telecom indoor and outdoor applications. Candidate will work in cooperation with other design engineers and cross functional teams.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Good knowledge of sheet metal design and sheet metal working processes
- Knowledge of 3D design and 2D drafting using SolidEdge/Creo or any other CAD software
- Ability to work with speed and accuracy to deliver manufacturing drawings and other documents
- Experience in design of sheet metal enclosures for indoor and outdoor applications
- Knowledge of enclosure design considering dust and water Ingress Protection
- Knowledge of testing for heat load calculations, noise level and fan selection
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T
- Hands on Experience on sheet metal prototype development
- Exposure to electrical switchgear like MCB, MCCB, Fuse etc
- Knowledge of busbar design considerations
- Knowledge of structural and thermal analysis
- Ability to work independently with least supervision
- Design of complete sheet metal enclosure (3D design and manufacturing 2D drawings).
- Conduct design review with cross functional teams
- Visit supplier and manufacturing plant for prototype development
- Handle all design related activities from product request till prototype development
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of drawings and other documents
