Job Summary




The Performance Management (PM) Assistant Manager is responsible for executing the PM lifecycle consistently and efficiently in support of the FSS business group/workstreams in collaboration with the PM Specialists and PM Analysts.


The PM Assistant Manager is responsible for the transactional and operational tasks enabling seamless execution of the PM processes for the assigned business group. Due to Deloitte's data-driven PM process, the PM Assistant Manager must be a detail oriented and an analytical thinker capable of producing high-quality deliverables leveraging PM data.


As a Team Leader (TL) the PM Assistant Manager identifies potential skills gaps among Team Members (TMs) and provides feedback and coaching as appropriate, including suggesting professional development opportunities to bridge skill gaps on the FSS PM team. The PM Assistant Manager is also responsible for managing relationships with assigned PM Specialists and provides exceptional customer service to the assigned FSS business group/workstreams by delivering high quality reports, performance data insights.


Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities




Process execution


Supports the execution of all PM processes. Troubleshoots process issues and provides solutions.

Takes direction from the PM Specialists and Managers and escalates potential issues and concerns.

Oversees preparation of materials and reports in support of meetings ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Managing stakeholders, having connects to understand upcoming activities and plan for delivery

Data analysis and reporting


Reviews data output for risks and escalates issues as needed

Oversees the quality of deliverables shared with the PM Specialists

Training and skills development


Completes training courses to keep skill set up to date

Discusses areas of improvement with leadership and seeks out professional development opportunities to close potential gaps

Advises PM Analysts as needed on the PM processes and shares best practices to improve the process and gain efficiencies

Team Management


Escalates business concerns, risks and issues to the FSS Lead/PM lead as needed

Conducts Check-Ins with PM TMs, sets work goals, provides feedback, and assists TMs in identifying professional development opportunities

Coaches PM TMs on process implementation and strategic thinking

Works with PM TMs on workload prioritization and problem solving

Ensures PM TM's ability to deliver the PM lifecycle, escalates TM performance concerns to the PM Lead

Process Excellence


Manages and executes the PM lifecycle in partnership with PM Specialists.

Owns the execution of the PM processes for the assigned FSS business group/workstream including, but not limited to, Check Ins, Pulse Surveys, Performance Snapshots, Talent Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Low Performers etc.

Troubleshoots potential process issues and provides solutions

Collaborates with PM Lead, other PM Managers and Process and Operations Lead on identifying process efficiencies

Qualifications




Education & Experience:


Bachelor's degree and 8 or + years of related experience

Prior experience in managing resources and handling large volumes of data

Prior experience with advising clients and stakeholder management

Required Technical Skills:


Interprets data and identifies trends and performance insights

Moves work forward proactively with limited guidance from the PM Specialists.

Manages resources and provides coaching, guidance, and continuous performance feedback

Demonstrates strong communication skills across the business to ensure collaboration of appropriate stakeholders

Applies strong strategic thinking, process improvement and change management skills

Demonstrates strong project management skills, flexibility and learning agility

Ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in a virtual environment (TMs and clients)

Problem solves issues and develops solutions

Identifies, escalates, and resolves issues effectively and appropriately

Effectively leverage tools such Tableau, SFDC, Service Now etc.

Manages confidential information according to Deloitte Administrative Policy Release (APR) guidelines

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint is a must
