Position: Sr. Executive - Supply Chain (Lighting Industry)

Role Purpose



Own the end?to?end supply planning for the lighting portfolio (LED lamps, battens, panels, floodlights, streetlights, strips/rope lights, drivers etc.). Convert market demand into a reliable

3?month rolling plan

, align production & procurement, optimize PAN?India inventory across warehouses, and reduce slow/obsolete stock--while ensuring high service levels for the Sales team.

Key Responsibilities



1) Demand Management & Forecasting



Consolidate monthly demand inputs from Sales (region-wise, key account-wise) and Marketing (schemes, launches, promotions, price changes). Build an

SKU-location forecast

using

statistical baselines + sales overrides

; run weekly demand review calls (S&OE) and monthly

Demand Review (S&OP)

. Maintain and improve forecast accuracy (MAPE / Bias) with clear rationale notes on exceptions (tenders, bulk orders, project wins).

2) 3?Month Rolling Supply Plan



Translate approved demand into a constrained

3?month rolling plan

(M+1/M+2/M+3) at

SKU-week

granularity. Publish

Production Requirement Plan (PRP/MPS)

to plants and

Purchase Requirement Plan (PR/PO triggers)

to Procurement for LEDs, drivers, housings, optics, PCBs, cartons, etc. Align plans to capacity, MOQs, lead times, and FG/Component safety stocks; highlight gaps and propose mitigation (overtime, subcontracting, alternate suppliers).

3) Inventory & Network Planning (PAN?India)



Define

stock norms

(Cycle + Safety + Present stock) by SKU class (A/B/C) and warehouse (North/West/South/East). Create weekly

Replenishment Plan

(inter?warehouse transfers & plant-to-DC shipments) to maintain availability and minimize excess. Track DC utilization, ageing, and space constraints; coordinate with Logistics on dispatch SLAs and freight optimization.

4) Slow?Moving / Obsolescence Control



Publish a

Slow?Moving & Excess (SM&E) report

(30/60/90/120+ days ageing) with actionable liquidation plans: region?wise push lists, bundle offers, scheme tie?ins, engineering rework (if feasible), repacking/remarking, or write-down proposals. Drive

root cause analysis

(forecast error, portfolio proliferation, price mismatch, spec changes, QC issues) and preventive actions.

5) Sales Enablement & Visibility



Circulate

PAN?India stock dashboard

(available-to-promise, in?transit, on?order, ageing) everyday

to Sales heads. Issue

"Sell Sheet / Push List"

for high?age and high?value items with suggested price actions/schemes. Provide

ATP/CTP

commitments for key orders & tenders; support launch allocations and scheme planning volumes.

6) Master Data & Governance



Maintain clean

(packaging, UOM, MOQ, lead times, min/max, phase-in/out dates). Ensure S&OP calendar adherence:

with minutes & action logs. Track and report KPIs; drive continuous improvement (Kaizen/Lean) in planning & warehousing processes.

Required Experience & Qualifications



Education:

B.E./B.Tech (preferred: Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical); OR B.Com/BA with strong supply planning experience.

Experience:

4-8 years

in Supply Chain/Planning in

Lighting/Electrical/Consumer Durables/EMS

; exposure to LEDs, drivers, and make-to-stock environments. Proven

S&OP

execution, demand planning, and multi?warehouse inventory management.

Skills & Tools



Planning:

S&OP/S&OE, Demand Planning, MPS/MRP, Inventory Optimization, ABC/XYZ analysis, Safety Stock modelling, MOQ/EOQ.

Analytics:

Advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot),

ERP/WMS:

SAP (MM/PP/SD), Tally?based add?ons, or similar.

Behavioral:

Cross?functional collaboration, data?driven decision?making, urgency, stakeholder management, clear communication.

Preferred Domain Knowledge (Lighting)



LED bill?of?materials (chip/driver/MCPCB/heat sink/optics), driver lead times, seasonal demand patterns (festive, project cycles). Compliance & specs (lumens/watt, CRI, CCT, BIS/ISI, IP ratings). Channel structure: distributors, retailers, electrical contractors, and project business dynamics.

Operating Cadence (Suggested)



Daily:

Dispatch/ATP check, critical backorders, DC stockouts tracker.

Weekly:

Demand/Supply reconciliation, replenishment plan, SM&E push list.

Monthly:

S&OP cycle with variance analysis, KPI review, portfolio clean?up decisions.

Quarterly:

Policy refresh (safety stock, stock norms), slow?moving liquidation audit, master data review.
