Own the end?to?end supply planning for the lighting portfolio (LED lamps, battens, panels, floodlights, streetlights, strips/rope lights, drivers etc.). Convert market demand into a reliable
3?month rolling plan
, align production & procurement, optimize PAN?India inventory across warehouses, and reduce slow/obsolete stock--while ensuring high service levels for the Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
1) Demand Management & Forecasting
Consolidate monthly demand inputs from Sales (region-wise, key account-wise) and Marketing (schemes, launches, promotions, price changes).
Build an
SKU-location forecast
using
statistical baselines + sales overrides
; run weekly demand review calls (S&OE) and monthly
Demand Review (S&OP)
.
Maintain and improve forecast accuracy (MAPE / Bias) with clear rationale notes on exceptions (tenders, bulk orders, project wins).
2) 3?Month Rolling Supply Plan
Translate approved demand into a constrained
3?month rolling plan
(M+1/M+2/M+3) at
SKU-week
granularity.
Publish
Production Requirement Plan (PRP/MPS)
to plants and
Purchase Requirement Plan (PR/PO triggers)
to Procurement for LEDs, drivers, housings, optics, PCBs, cartons, etc.
Align plans to capacity, MOQs, lead times, and FG/Component safety stocks; highlight gaps and propose mitigation (overtime, subcontracting, alternate suppliers).
3) Inventory & Network Planning (PAN?India)
Define
stock norms
(Cycle + Safety + Present stock) by SKU class (A/B/C) and warehouse (North/West/South/East).
Create weekly
Replenishment Plan
(inter?warehouse transfers & plant-to-DC shipments) to maintain availability and minimize excess.
Track DC utilization, ageing, and space constraints; coordinate with Logistics on dispatch SLAs and freight optimization.
4) Slow?Moving / Obsolescence Control
Publish a
Slow?Moving & Excess (SM&E) report
(30/60/90/120+ days ageing) with actionable liquidation plans:
region?wise push lists, bundle offers, scheme tie?ins, engineering rework (if feasible), repacking/remarking, or write-down proposals.
