The Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales function to drive student enrollments and institutional partnerships. The role involves strategizing sales plans, managing a team, improving conversions, and ensuring revenue targets are achieved consistently. The ideal candidate should have experience in EdTech sales, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the student counseling or B2B/B2C education market.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Revenue Delivery
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Oversee lead management, pipeline development, and sales forecasting.
Ensure consistent follow-ups and high conversion rates from inquiries to enrollments.
Team Leadership
Manage, mentor, and motivate the sales and counseling team.
Conduct training sessions on product offerings, communication skills, and objection handling.
Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and performance improvement plans.
Client & Student Engagement
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and institutional stakeholders.
Understand student aspirations and recommend suitable courses and programs.
Resolve escalations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Process & Operations Management
Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to align campaigns and improve lead quality.
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and ensure adherence to the complete sales process.
Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and performance tracking.
Market & Business Intelligence
Analyze competitor activities, market trends, and student behavior insights.
Recommend improvements to sales strategies, pricing models, and product offerings.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Good understanding of EdTech products, student counseling, and education market dynamics.
Leadership and team-management capabilities.
Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
4-10 years of experience in Sales, preferably in the EdTech industry.
Experience in managing and scaling a sales team.
