We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Assistant Manager - Safety
to lead and implement safety measures at our National Highway project sites. The role requires strong expertise in fire & industrial safety, first aid training, road & traffic safety, and risk management to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies
for the National Highway project.
Conduct
risk assessments
, hazard analysis, and implement control measures to ensure workplace safety.
Plan and deliver
Fire Safety, Industrial Safety, First Aid, and Road/Traffic Safety training
for staff and site workers.
Ensure compliance with
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
standards and relevant legal requirements.
Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and authorities to ensure
safe construction practices
.
Conduct
toolbox talks, safety drills, and safety audits
at project sites.
Maintain proper documentation of safety records, training logs, and inspection reports.
Promote a
safety-first culture
across the project workforce.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education:
Degree/Diploma in Engineering with specialization in Safety / Fire / Industrial Safety Management.
Certifications:
NEBOSH, IOSH, OHS (preferred).
Experience:
10 - 12 years of proven experience in Safety Management, preferably in
.
Excellent communication and training skills to engage workers at all levels.
Ability to handle emergencies effectively and ensure compliance with project HSE goals.
