Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, RTR (Finance Operations: General Accounting-Close & Control, Reconciliations)

Responsibilities:

Perform General Ledger Accounting

- Manage & review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

Month-End & Year-End Close

- Execute & provide oversight to close activities including trial balance review, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements within timelines

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

- Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts (cash, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany, etc.) to ensure completeness and accuracy

Intercompany Accounting

- Handle intercompany transactions, confirmations, and reconciliations in line with group policies

Fixed Assets & GL Maintenance

- Oversee capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and ensure correct mapping of GL accounts

Compliance & Audit Support

- Ensure adherence to internal controls (SOX/ICFR) and support internal/external audit requirements

Continuous Improvement

- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and automation in RTR operations

Minimum Qualifications:

Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate

Relevant years of experience in managing F&A RTR processes

Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage

Preferred Skill Set:

Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Experience with accounting software, like Oracle, Blackline, etc.

Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)

Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management

Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative

Strong time management skills

Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
