Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Finance department as a Reconciliation specialist.. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation expertise, team management experience, and the ability to handle high-volume transactions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and the timely resolution of discrepancies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform daily reconciliations across various accounts and systems to ensure data accuracy and financial integrity. Identify open reconciliation items, collaborate with internal teams for resolution, and escalate unresolved issues to the reporting manager Prepare and present daily and monthly Reconciliation MIS reports to the reporting manager. Document recurring reconciliation issues and assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs. Propose and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities, to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors. Lead and manage a team of 4-5 team members, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to timelines. Coordinate with banks, vendors, auditors, and internal teams for timely issue resolution and data validation. Support month-end closures and ensure all reconciliations are completed within defined timelines.

Key Skills Required:



Proficient in

bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations

Strong knowledge of

high-volume transaction matching and exception handling

Advanced proficiency in

MS Excel

(including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) Ability to analyse and interpret large datasets to identify mismatches and discrepancies Effective coordination with banks, auditors, and cross-functional teams Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and escalation Ability to

supervise team members

, assign tasks, and review deliverables Comfortable working under pressure to manage

multiple reconciliations and tight deadlines


Preferred Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 3-5 years of relevant experience in reconciliation Prior experience in fintech or financial services is a plus
