We are hiring a proactive and experienced R&D Assistant Manager to lead our Research and Development team in the chemical industry. The R&D Assistant Manager will be responsible for new product development, research project supervision, and effective implementation of experiments. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Must Have:
Conduct R&D on Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Propylene Oxide (PO) reactions, including new product development and process optimization.
Develop, characterize, and scale up EO/PO derivatives such as phosphates, sulphates, ethoxylates, propoxylates, etc.
Plan, execute, and monitor experiments at lab, kilo-lab, and pilot-plant scale.
Prepare and maintain all R&D documentation including experimental records, scale-up reports, SOPs, and technology transfer documents.
Support commercialization activities by coordinating with production, QC, and process engineering teams.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and HSE requirements while handling EO/PO and hazardous chemicals.
Analyze data, interpret results, and propose technical solutions for process improvements and troubleshooting.
Manage timelines, maintain project tracking, and work effectively under pressure to meet business goals.

Hands-on experience with EO/PO-based derivatives such as phosphates, sulphates, ethoxylates, propoxylates, etc.
Proficiency in R&D documentation, including experiment recording, report writing, and technology transfer documentation.
Understanding of quality systems, ISO documentation, and regulatory compliance
Experience working with cross-functional teams for scale-up and commercialization.
Ability to work under pressure, manage tight timelines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to handling EO/PO and hazardous materials.
