Job Purpose:

The Assistant Manager - Purchase will lead procurement activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing,

while upholding company standards and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

? Lead and manage the Purchase team to ensure smooth operations, high efficiency, and strong

coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

? Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that align with company goals and drive cost

optimization.

? Ensure timely procurement of materials at the best possible price, quality, and service levels.

? Build strong vendor relationships through effective negotiation, supplier evaluation, and

performance management.

? Monitor, track, and report procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, material

availability) to senior management.

? Guide and mentor the Purchase team, building a culture of high performance, accountability, and

continuous improvement.

? Manage procurement risks proactively, ensuring business continuity and minimizing supply disruptions.

Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procurement processes, and legal regulations

at all stages of purchasing.

? Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Production, Logistics, Finance) to ensure

seamless coordination across departments.

? Prepare detailed procurement reports, MIS, and strategic presentations for management review

and decision-making.

Managerial Responsibilities (Highlighted):

? Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage the purchasing team, ensuring professional growth and

productivity.

? Strategic Planning: Develop medium and long-term sourcing strategies to support organizational

goals.

? Performance Management: Set clear objectives, evaluate team performance, and ensure continuous

skill development.

? Process Improvement: Identify gaps in procurement processes and drive improvements for

operational excellence.

Note:

This position demands a strong manager who can combine operational execution with strategic

thinking, team leadership, and stakeholder management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?500,000.00 - ?700,000.00 per year
