Assistant Manager - Project Based Analytics

Job Summary:

As the Assistant Manager you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights that identify and diagnose specific execution opportunities in both the field and corporate office. You will have high visibility to Senior Leadership within the org as well as cross-functional interactions with other senior leaders within the greater business. This role requires an excellent collaborator, communicator, and analyst with extensive hands-on data experience. The successful candidate is a problem solver in a fast-moving and highly diverse environment and will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness are not compromised. In addition to strong data mining and analytical skills, the Analyst must be adept at communicating findings to senior leadership and business stakeholders across the organization in both verbal and presentation formats using KPIs and metrics that are meaningful to the business.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Support the development of a strong understanding of the retail client's strategic priorities and operational workflows. Assist in building collaborative relationships with field and home office leaders to contribute to improved business outcomes.

Conduct ad-hoc analyses that provide value to business leadership and stakeholders, including tracking and reporting on success metrics to evaluate performance.

Work with data tools to extract, validate, and maintain data integrity. Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that are easy for stakeholders to understand and apply.

Analyze operational, financial, membership, and product-level data to identify trends and support recommendations aimed at enhancing sales and profitability.

Prepare reports and presentations that communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders and leadership, using relevant KPIs and metrics to highlight business impact.

Collaborate on solving business challenges by helping to define key questions, support hypothesis development, and contribute to analytical approaches that generate insights for decision-making and performance improvement.

Qualifications:

Relevant years of finance, analytics or predictive modeling experience within a Retail environment with an understanding of key financial metrics and sales mechanics (gross sales, net sales, margin, waste, profit).*
BA/BS in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or other related quantitative field. MBA or Master's degree with focus on analytics or prior consulting experience preferred.*
Expert in various data mining techniques. Hands on experience with complex SQL queries and or other data mining and statistical software knowledge preferred.*
Pro-active and self-motivated work style with proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude to get results within a cross-functional team.*
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making with the ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans.*

Strong Project Management skills coupled with interpersonal and presentation ability with demonstrated experience in fact-based analysis, including the ability to persuasively present insights and recommendations to senior management.Why join Genpact?
