In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all printing and packaging projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will bridge the gap between management and floor operations, leading a team of operators to achieve daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning:
Develop and execute daily/weekly production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
Quality Control:
Supervise the entire process (Pre-press to Finishing) to ensure color accuracy, structural integrity, and zero defects.
Resource Management:
Monitor the use of raw materials (Paper, Ink, Film) to minimize wastage and control costs.
Team Supervision:
Lead, train, and motivate machine operators and helpers to maintain a high-performance culture.
Machine Maintenance:
Coordinate with the engineering team for scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce machine downtime.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate daily production reports (DPR) and monitor KPIs like OEE and wastage percentages.
Safety:
Ensure strict adherence to industrial safety standards and maintain a clean, organized shop floor (5S).
Requirements & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Printing Technology, Packaging, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
3-6 years of experience in a Printing & Packaging unit (Offset, Flexo, or Corrugation).
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of printing processes, substrate types, and post-press finishing.
Software:
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, or customized print-MIS).
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage a workforce of 20+ people.
Problem Solving:
Quick thinking to resolve technical glitches or production bottlenecks.
