Job Summary:
We are seeking a Assistant Line Manager - Production in our bus manufacturing facility. The role involves supervising panelling operations, ensuring quality assembly of bus body panels, optimizing manpower utilization, and driving efficiency in the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily panelling operations including fitting, welding, and assembly of bus panels.
Ensure material availability and proper utilization of resources.
Monitor production schedules and align manpower to meet output targets.
Conduct quality checks for panel fitting, alignment, and finishing.
Implement 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma principles in shop activities.
Coordinate with Design, Paint, and Quality departments to resolve issues.
Train and mentor shop floor workers for skill improvement.
Maintain production reports, manpower records, and daily MIS.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and statutory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering.
0-1 years of experience in manufacturing/automobile body building industry.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and panelling processes.
Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and productivity improvement.
Leadership, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to ERP systems is preferred.
