Assistant Manager - Production & Powder Coating

Qualification:

B.E. - Mechanical / Production / Industrial

Experience:

8 -15 Years in

Sheet Metal Fabrication, Powder Coating & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily production operations: CNC punching, laser cutting (Bystronic), bending (Amada), TIG/CO? welding, and fabrication. Plan and manage shift schedules, machine utilization, and workforce for seamless operations. Oversee pre-treatment and powder coating processes, ensuring quality and adherence to SOPs. Complete experience in chemical handlings, SOP, MSDS and usage for painting and powder coating. Monitor assembly and dispatch of powder-coated materials to ensure timely and quality delivery. Implement Lean tools, drive OEE improvement (target: 70%) for CNC and bending operations with CFT support. Maintain 4M conditions in the coating shop to ensure process stability and quality output. Conduct weekly OEE barrier analysis and implement improvement actions. Collaborate with quality, SCM, maintenance, and engineering teams for end-to-end process coordination. Support vendor development by visiting suppliers and ensuring quality and process compliance. Participate in QCC conventions and contribute to QCC award-winning initiatives. Drive continuous improvement across production, coating, quality, safety, and dispatch functions.

Key Skills:

Expertise in sheet metal processes, welding techniques, Painting and powder coating. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and OEE. Proven ability to manage assembly lines and coordinate finished goods dispatch. Analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving and team management skills. Experience in vendor audits and quality improvement for external suppliers.
