Headquarter: Marol, Andheri Mumbai | Branch Offices: New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata Position Overview: As an Assistant/Deputy Manager in Market Operations at Power Exchange , where you\'ll play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing operational processes, managing power trading procedures, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with regulatory bodies within a power exchange market. The ideal candidate with minimum 3+ years in Power Exchange Market, with supervisory expertise understanding exchange operations, power market trading, regulatory frameworks knowledge, and SLDC, RLDC, NLDC functions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and MS Excel skills are essential, Proficiency in accounts reconciliation, excellent managerial, communication, and collaboration skills are highly valued. Candidates with additional expertise in Power BI, Python, Large Data Management and advanced MS Excel are preferred. These skills, coupled with your commitment, further solidify your place in our journey to shape the future of energy trading. Key Responsibilities: The Asst. Manager / Deputy Manager is responsible for Execution and monitoring of Market Operations as 1. Oversee and execute operational systems, processes, and infrastructure of a power market exchange while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision. Preparation of methodologies required to ease the work on operations level Operational procedural checking in the Trading Portal Software To monitor the products that are operating 24x7 Handling the Bilateral, Collective, REC & ESCERT trades Checking & Uploading of POC Charges and Losses, STU (transmission Charges, Losses and Operating Charges) in State Master & DE (Distribution Charges, Losses and Operating Charges) in Distribution Entity Master Correct mapping of NOC for New Client and Existing Client & updating Charges & Losses as per the NOC. 2. Co-ordination within depts. in resolving issues like Cash limits, enablement/disablement, Curtailment, etc. Sending reports/results to the associated stakeholders Addressing operational concerns and issues, monitoring overall customer requirements Efficiently resolve customer queries and being available to all customer calls/queries Provide solution of technical queries to new and existing members/client for trading4 3. To regularly send the reconciliation statements to Customers/ RLDC/ SLDC and To reconcile charges, obligation, Margin Position, Margin Blocked, Margin Released, Due book with Obligation To Track and reconcile GST payment as per regulations. 4. Coordinate with CERC/RLDC/NLDC/SLDC for operational activities involved. Preparing reports required by NLDC, CERC & CEA. Making payment statements and sending to NLDC, SDCL, and RLDC. Making the Transactions payments to RLDC & SLDC Follow up with NLDC for all congestion related queries 5. Identify the defects in process and reports and its rectification from IT team. 6. UAT of trading system functionality, reports, margin, new product, matching engine, obligation generation, due book for pay-in and pay-out, order entry, order cancellation, sessions schedule. 7. Preparation of Audit Reports and Deviation reports. Required Qualifications and Skills: Relevant 3+ year\'s experience in Power Exchange Market Operations , including 1 to 2 years of supervisory expertise. You should have a thorough understanding of the rules and procedures of exchange operations, particularly in the power exchange market. Knowledge of the Power market trading, regulatory frameworks congestion management Knowledge of the functions of SLDC, RLDC and NLDC. Knowledge of procedure of Power Scheduling Knowledge of Electricity Act, Grid code and open-access principles and regulatory bodies is essential for this role. Proficient in accounts reconciliation and BRS preparation , as well as documentation of process manuals. Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving skills, Numerical Skills, excellent knowledge in MS Excel (macros & visual basic) Able to work effectively in both team and individual settings without Supervision and under pressure and should take Strong Initiative in Operations. Demonstrated ability to manage time-critical and deadline-oriented workloads & Demonstrated initiative and aptitude for processing data and preparing reports Excellent Managerial, Collaboration and Interactive Team Management skills including influencing, negotiation, consultation, conflict resolution, and assertiveness and communication skills. Polished, Professional, and Confident Presentation and Public Speaking skills.
