About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive

Assistant Manager - Parent Seed

to oversee the planning, production, and quality of parent (breeder/foundation) seeds. The role ensures smooth coordination between R&D and production teams to support hybrid seed programs with high-quality parent material.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute parent seed production across multiple locations. Coordinate with R&D and production teams to align seed demand and availability. Identify and manage growers/farmers for parent seed multiplication. Monitor crop health, isolation, and rouging to ensure genetic purity. Oversee quality assurance, field operations, and seed production standards. Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and logistics. Supervise harvesting, processing, and storage of parent seeds. Train and support growers on best agronomic and production practices. Ensure compliance with certification and regulatory guidelines. Prepare detailed production reports and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Seed Science, or related field.

Experience:

5-8 years of experience in seed production (preferably parent/breeder seed).

Core Skills:

Seed production and quality management Grower coordination and field supervision Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools Strong communication and planning abilities

Desirable

Experience with hybrid crops (maize, rice, cotton, or etc). Knowledge of seed certification and regulatory compliance.
