This includes the execution and coordination of the following: - 1. New Product & New Packaging Development 2. New Packaging Graphic Development. 3. Packaging Material Costing Management 4. Finish Product Launch Management. 5. Packaging Special Run and Trials Management Expected End Results (Why you do it) On-time & Efficient New Product Launch Smooth New Product Introduction Processes Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it) Accurate New Product Introduction Documentation. Timeliness of New Product Introduction as per agreed Launch Date Number and quality of New Product Introduction process improvements Cost Saving Values and number of Projects completed Importance: 2 Percent of Total Job: 25% Major Action: Packaging Documentation management Manage all the packaging related documents for India region like specifications, drawings etc. Expected End Results (Why you do it) Compliance with KC Requirements . Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it) 100% completion of a Packing & Unitizing Specification, Packaging Specification, Technical Drawings and other relevant document for every product launch. Up to-date Specifications & Drawings for every product Importance: 3 Percent of Total Job: 20% Major Action: Packaging material Vendor Management Manage packaging material vendor activity i.e. Vendor Selection, Technical Qualification, Packaging Improvement, Cost Saving Initiative, Quality Investigation and Trial Runs Expected End Results (Why you do it) Improved packaging material performance. Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it) Better quality of packaging material at an affordable cost. Importance: 4 Percent of Total Job: 20% Major Action: Packaging Quality Management Managing all relevant packaging quality activities which includes execution and co-ordination of following:- 1. Setting up packaging lab 2. Devising testing methods 3. Finished product packaging material quality management Expected End Results (Why you do it) Improved performance of packaging material Reduced market complaints Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it) QA Shelf Audit, Distribution Channel Packaging Audits Scope & Job Nature This position works for continuous improvement of packaging keeping in mind cost reduction and quality.The person are also expected to have sound in-depth technical knowledge on a broad range of all aspect Packaging such as Packaging Material Characteristic & Performance, Quality Practice, Manufacturing Process Control, Pre-Press and Post Press Standard & Practice This person initiates, develops and tested new packaging concepts and developing / specifying / recommending new Packaging materials, as well as performance of current items. The person is responsible for implementing packaging programs to support business unit objectives. This person also to provide expertise on matters of Packaging e.g. Packaging material, construction, printing technology and equipment for packaging systems.
