:

Basic Function

• Analyze user stories and technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness and decompose them to extract positive and negative test scenarios and strong acceptance criteria's
• Able in people management, Agile-Scrum Process, QA Manual & Automation process, Test Management, QA and QC Processes, QA Best Practices Implementation and Enhancement.
• Perform various types of manual testing including - functional, regression, smoke, UI, database, security etc
• Select and develop appropriate test scripts, applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., behavior-driven testing to validate defect-free code
• Use automated tools to provision and deploy software for functional and load testing of environments
• Creating and updating automation frameworks
• Collaborate with the release engineering team/ BAs / dev teams to create and maintain an automated build verification ("smoke") test
• Collaborate with onshore teams for business and functional requirements, sprint coordination and other delivery related requirements
• On-site coordination with Technical / Product / Scrum Team and help resolve Application Issues
• Analyze the defects in an N-tiered environment
• Work well both as part of a group and as individual contributor

Essential Functions

• Software testing with enterprise and/or web based applications
• Able to execute functional/regression testing of entire application, validate and regression bug fixes
• Able to perform structured testing using automation tools / scripts / frameworks.
• Understanding of Quality Assurance tools, techniques, standards and SDLC methods (Agile, Waterfall)
• Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plan, estimating, test strategies and test cases etc.
• Well proficient in different areas of management, like people, project, planning, stakeholder etc..
• Exposure to QA tools (Bug Tracking, Test Management etc.)

Technical Skills

Required Skills

• Experience in Manual & Automation testing.

• Experience of Regression, Smoke, UI, exploratory, database and other type of testing as needed
• Working knowledge of Automation Frameworks
• Understanding of automation test execution dashboards
• Writing and executing Test Plans and Test Cases, defect fixes
• Experience with relational database structures and SQL

• Working experience in Multi-Tier environment
• End-to-End testing of product without any leakage of issues

• Exposure to tools like TestRail, JIRA etc.

Skills Nice to Have:

• Working experience in browser automation testing tools ( e.g.: Cucumber / Selenium / QTP / Protractor)
• Working knowledge of Server Build Management and Continuous Integration techniques - using any of Jenkins / TeamCity / TeamCity like software

• Understanding of Enterprise Java technology/Java server architecture

Process Specific Skills

Delivery domain

• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall project management methodology, success factors, and pitfalls
• Working experience and understanding detailed Technical and Functional design specifications

Business domain - Banking (Preferred)

• Banking domain understanding / past working experience

• Ability to comprehend the business processes and associated Application functionality by reviewing code and consulting with the analyst and operations teams
