Assistant Manager (Network Security)*

Qualification Profile


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Graduate in other subjects, in case of good relevant experience in the desired filed may be considered.


Experience



Relevant certifications such as CCNA,CCNP,CCIE, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNP Security, or equivalent.
Prior experience in a network security role within a medium to large enterprise environment.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and tools (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage security projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.


Job Responsibilities


Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to protect organizational IT infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to potential security incidents in a timely manner. Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions, Management & Configuration of Network and Security devices such as Layer 2 & 3 switches, Routers, Firewalls, VPN appliances, two factor authentication and IPS/IDS, Installation, configuration and Integration of Firewall etc. Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis. Manage security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and SIEM platforms. Provide training and awareness programs to staff on network security best practices and emerging threats. Prepare detailed reports and documentation on security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance status for senior management. Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to proactively enhance network defenses. Make sure that documents & network diagrams are updated with proper version control. SOP for the network connectivity should be updated as per changes in network and related policies.


Administration, management & Configuration of Wireless devices such as Access points & Wireless controller.

Technical Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and security technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, IDS/IPS). Hands-on experience with network security tools such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper or similar firewall and security appliances. Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, proxy servers, and network access controls. Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools like Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS) and penetration testing methodologies. Understanding of encryption technologies, authentication protocols, and identity management. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or PCI-DSS. Ability to analyze network traffic and logs to detect anomalies and potential threats. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
