Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Design and layout electrical systems (conduits, boxes, wiring paths) in precast wall panels, slabs, and other elements.
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and load calculations using AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
• Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to ensure clash-free integration of services.
• Specify electrical components, materials, and fittings compliant with project and local code requirements.
• Perform design calculations for lighting, power distribution, grounding, and panel sizing.
• Review and approve shop drawings and ensure timely submission for client/consultant approval.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts and RFIs during precast production and site installation.
• Support procurement by providing detailed bill of materials (BOMs).
• Conduct site visits or factory inspections to ensure design implementation as per drawings.
• Ensure adherence to relevant electrical and safety codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IS standards).
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with drafting and QA/QC teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-4 years in precast or prefabricated building systems.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure precast projects is preferred.
