Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Assistant Manager - Mechanical

Design

to join our R&D department, focusing on the design and development of electromechanical parts for automotive applications. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Major Tasks:

Design and develop

plastic, casting, rubber, sheet metal, machining, and wiring harness parts

for electronic (electromechanical) products. Create

3D models

using

CATIA & Creo

software in line with company standards and customer requirements. Prepare

2D drawings

for tool development using

Creo / AutoCAD Software

. Apply knowledge of

DFMEA

,

GD&T

,

stack-up analysis

,

DFM

,

DFA

, and

DFSS

in the design process. Interact with customers to gather inputs and minimize project delays. Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to assess

feasibility and tooling

requirements. Coordinate with manufacturing/material teams during the development phase. Identify design, material, and process changes for

cost reduction and performance improvement

. Use and interpret

mechanical measuring instruments

effectively. Understand and implement

APQP

and

PPAP

processes. Possess knowledge of

plastic moulding

and

die casting

manufacturing processes. Understand

wiring harness design

and its various components. Evaluate

manufacturing processes

and

material selection criteria

. Use

simulation tools

and conduct

thermal analysis

. Provide guidance to internal teams to avoid project delays.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in the

automotive industry

for design and development is

highly preferred

. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and manufacturing technologies. Proficiency in CAD software tools (

CATIA

,

Creo

,

AutoCAD

). Good communication and team coordination skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?200,000.00 - ?1,200,000.00 per year
