1. Job Purpose
To support and drive marketing and business development activities for rail interior components and engineering products by developing customer relationships, participating in tenders, supporting OEM engagements, and contributing to revenue growth across Indian Railways, Metro Corporations, OEMs, and private rolling stock manufacturers.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in marketing railway or engineering products such as (or similar to):

FRP Interior Panels & Toilet Cabins
Passenger Seats (Foam, SS 304, FRP)
Metal Brackets, Extrusions & Diffusers
Air Filters & Floor Boards
Luggage Racks
HVAC AL Ducts & Phenolic Foam Ducts
Sliding Doors, Driver Cab Doors & IC Doors
Hydrogen Interior Demonstration Units
MEK-1 & MEK-2, MK-2
AC TC & AP PT Assemblies
HULL Components
G-Sheets & related Sheet Metal Products
3. Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Market Support
Identify and support new business opportunities with Indian Railways, Metro Corporations, OEMs, and RDSO-approved vendors
Assist in expanding market presence across domestic and select international rail projects
Track railway tenders, modernization projects, and OEM requirements
Support vendor registration, onboarding, and technical approval processes
B. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain regular interaction with procurement, engineering, and project teams of customers
Assist in managing key accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction
Coordinate customer meetings, site visits, and product presentations
C. Product & Technical Marketing
Develop understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing processes for AL, FRP, SS, HVAC ducts, doors, and interior systems
Prepare marketing materials such as product presentations, brochures, and technical data sheets
Support competitive analysis and market intelligence activities
D. Sales Coordination & Revenue Support
Support achievement of annual sales targets and order inflow
Assist in pricing, cost estimation, and margin analysis
Maintain and update sales pipeline, enquiry tracking, and follow-ups
E. Tendering, Proposals & Documentation
Prepare and assist in techno-commercial offers, BOQs, compliance statements, and cost sheets
Coordinate with engineering, purchase, finance, and production teams for proposal finalization
Assist in contract discussions, order finalization, and documentation
F. Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate with production, QA, and supply chain teams for timely execution and delivery
Support customer audits, inspections, and prototype approvals
Provide periodic market and customer feedback to management
4. Required Skills & Competencies
Experience in marketing railway, metro, interior systems, or engineering components
Working knowledge of AL/FRP fabrication, seating systems, ducting, and rail interiors
Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications (AutoCAD exposure is an advantage)
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Experience in B2B industrial sales and tender-based business
Familiarity with organizations such as RDSO, ICF, BEML, Alstom, Titagarh, TMH, Medha, and Metro Rail Corporations
5. Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
MBA in Marketing or equivalent qualification
