Job Description


Job Title: Assistant Marketing Manager

Division/Department: Fragrance Division

Reporting to: National Sales Manager - Fragrance

Purpose: The role involves developing presentations and product concepts for the Fragrance Division, assisting in Marketing Department projects, providing support and marketing services to the Fragrance Division, and overseeing Consumer Insight Market Research for India and Sri Lanka.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing:

- Identify marketplace opportunities and convert them into marketable concepts.

- Conduct regular market analysis to formulate strategies for customer brands, support sales growth, and develop brand and product-centric strategies for holistic fragrance solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and track key category trends.

Information Management/Exchange:

- Maintain the New Product Information (NPI) database.

- Efficiently manage the product library.

- Ensure effective communication with global counterparts.

- Consumer Insights and Market Research (CIMR):

- Plan and implement CIMR activities in India as required by cross-functional teams.

- Coordinate and monitor global or regional CIMR activities in India.

- Supervise the Consumer Insight team.

Other Responsibilities:

- Prepare the annual budget for Marketing and CIMR expenses.

- Implement annual giveaways to external clients and other similar requirements.

- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

- Comply with all applicable procedures, legal requirements, and Company Group\'s Charter of Corporate Behavior and Code of Conduct.

- Fragrance Evaluation Dept.

- Creative Dept.

- Customer Service Dept.

- Sales

External Liaison:

- Company Marketing and Sales Depts. globally

- Company CIMR Departments globally

Job Requirements:

Qualification: Degree in Marketing OR Business or related discipline or equivalent.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Creative, highly motivated, and dynamic individual.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver compelling concepts to clients.

- Good initiative and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and travel regionally.

- Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.

- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other product design software is an advantage.

- Knowledge of fragrance and cosmetic ingredients is an advantage.

Experience: 5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably in Fragrance, FMCG, Cosmetic industry. Advertising or other creative industry experience may be considered. Market Research experience is advantageous.
