- Perform detailed design of bridge superstructures such as:




- RCC/PSC girders (T-girders, I-girders, box girders)




- Steel and steel-concrete composite decks




- Arch, truss, and cable-supported components (if applicable)




- Perform design of bridge substructures, including:




- Pile foundations, well foundations, open foundations




- Abutments, piers, pier caps, retaining walls




- Wing walls, approach structures




- Conduct structural analysis using Midas Civil, STAAD.Pro, SOFiSTiK, or equivalent.




- Prepare and review:




- Design reports, calculation sheets, load data




- General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)Detailed design drawings




- Bill of Quantities (BOQ)




- Ensure all designs comply with IRC, IS, AASHTO (if applicable) and project specifications.




- Perform value-engineering to optimize materials and design.




- Assist in proof-checking and internal/external design audits.




- Provide technical assistance during construction, erection, and foundation works.




- Technical Skills




- Strong knowledge of bridge engineering fundamentals.




- Proficiency in structural software:




- Midas Civil, STAAD. Pro, Sofistic




- 2 -15 years hands-on experience in design of bridge substructures & superstructures for highways, railways, or urban infrastructure projects.
