Job Title: Assistant Manager- Logistics
Location: Vikhroli, Mumbai
Department: Logistics- Operations
Reports To: AD- Logistics
Role Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end logistics procurement, optimizing supply chain networks, and developing cost-effective logistics strategies.
The role demands a deep understanding of last-mile operations, logistics procurement, strategic sourcing, dispute resolution and data-driven decision-making to achieve efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across the logistics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
Lead overall logistics procurement initiatives and develop long-term sourcing strategies to ensure efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization. * Supply Chain Network Optimization:
Plan and execute strategic supply chain network designs considering cost optimization, service levels, and operational flexibility. * Quick Commerce & Dark Store Operations:
Drive strategic planning for Quick Commerce last-mile operations, dark store replenishment, and logistics cost management to enhance delivery performance. * Logistics Cost Ownership & Efficiency:
Own and manage overall logistics cost structures, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and continuous improvement in cost design. * Loss Management:
Manage Gross Loss and Net Loss metrics, achieving measurable reductions through process optimization and cross-functional collaboration. * Contracting & Compliance:
Partner with legal teams to draft, negotiate, and finalize logistics carrier agreements in line with company policies, service level expectations, and regulatory compliance. * Process Improvement & Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with analytics, warehouse, inventory, and leadership teams to identify process gaps, develop solutions, and drive operational efficiency. * 3PL Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to enhance performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction. * Cost Optimization Initiatives:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cost-saving initiatives leading to substantial business impact and improved profitability. * Dispute Resolution:
Close all the invoicing and reconciliation disputes with the third-party logistics providers (3PLs) in a timely manner, maintain and adhere to SOPs on this
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA - Logistics and Supply Chain is preferred.
  • 6-12 years of experience in logistics procurement, supply chain strategy, or 3PL management.
  • Proven expertise in logistics cost modelling, logistics network optimization, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in Quick Commerce / E-commerce / FMCG logistics is an added advantage.
  • Strong data analytics and visualization skills with proficiency in Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI/ Tableau
