WE'RE HIRING: Assistant Manager - Legal @ Nature's Basket (Mumbai)

Are you a sharp legal professional with expertise in compliance and a passion for the retail sector? Nature's Basket, a leading premium food retailer, is looking for an Assistant Manager - Legal to join our dynamic team in Mumbai.

This pivotal "On Roll" position involves safeguarding our brand's reputation by ensuring adherence to legal compliances, advising management on critical legal issues, and managing diverse legal aspects from property matters to contracts and crucial Food & Legal Metrology laws.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Drafting and vetting agreements (immovable properties, general contracts). Obtaining and renewing licenses, permissions, and NOCs, with a strong focus on Food Laws and Legal Metrology. Monitoring and ensuring timely statutory compliance. Identifying and mitigating legal risks related to business operations. Liaising and negotiating with external parties (regulators, external counsel).

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB). Proven experience as a Legal Counsel in a business environment. Updated knowledge of laws related to food and grocery retail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Sound judgment and analytical abilities.
