What You'll Do

Require the candidate to support the Lease Accounting process for global markets through the complete lease(s) life-cycle.

Prepare the monthly reconciliations for ROU, Lease Liability and Asset Retirement Obligation/Cost and prepaid balances for all Amex GBT subsidiaries.

Prepare quarterly roll-forwards for external disclosures.

Review the lease contracts and condense the information and key clauses therefrom in the Lease set-up checklist.

Set-up the lease in the Lease management tool and ensure the records are always upto-date throughout the lease period.

Co-ordinate with cross-functional peers from Facilities, Local Finance Controllers, HR and other stakeholders to obtain and provide required clarifications.

Perform periodic analysis of lease costs and liabilities to identify and report any discrepancies or outliers.

Provide required support during internal, statutory and group audits.

Participate in finance projects and assist the Team Leader in ad-hoc deliverables.

Build relationships with key points of contact across the processes and other functions both within the company and externally with vendors to maintain an understanding of the process context and identify both intra process and cross process improvement



What We're Looking For

CA/CPA/ACCA qualified.

Minimum 2 -4 years of experience in an a ccounting process is preferred.

Experience and working knowledge of ASC842/IFRS16/ASC410 would be preferred.

Experience in working in a shared services environment will be an advantage.

Understanding of accounting flows for Lease or Fixed Assets process will be preferred

Good problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

Team-work & self-motivation with the ability to work independently

Proven ability to form strong customer relationships, an understanding of customer focus and service delivery

Proven ability to meet deadlines

Candidate should be willing to work in a hybrid environment and be at office per the demands of business.
