Job Description

Role Responsibilities

Business

  • Draft effective & concise Service Level Agreements (SLA) in coordination with Country representatives, Legal, Compliance, Finance, OCIR, FCSO Functions across GBS hubs
  • Timely renewals, modification & upkeep of existing SLAs documents to ensure they always meet Group standards
  • Facilitate testing of Business Continuity Plans (BCP); timely renewal of BCP and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) documents
  • Ensure BCP and BIA meet Group standards at all time
  • Support vendor governance for FCSO, FCSO system access approval adhering to Group standards
People and Talent
  • Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
  • Stimulate an environment where forward planning, prioritisation, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaborative, inclusive yet effective and efficient work practices are the norm
Risk Management
  • Facilitate & promote the understanding of OR & Compliance requirements
  • Make recommendations (and/or implement) to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks and/or findings of concerns from investigations.
  • Inform senior management and relevant regulators of serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased
  • Adopt an anticipatory approach to risk assessment
Governance
  • Be accountable for identification and escalation of potential risks and issues to senior management
  • In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
  • Propose control / process improvements (eg. A3s), enhancements and simplifications where appropriate
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of and business/industry work experience in the financial services domain of which preferably 1+ years of experience in SLA / BIA / BCP governance role
  • Good understanding of Third Party Security Risk
  • Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team, has good ability to communicate with senior management, country representatives, Legal & Compliance stake holders
  • Superior time management skills & the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understands operational risks and controls
  • Has attention to detail and can understand the impact each detail may have on the overall program success
