To ensure the safety and security of employees, assets, information, and infrastructure at the Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant through proactive surveillance, risk management, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Physical Security & Surveillance
Monitor and safeguard plant premises, materials, finished goods, and warehouses.
Oversee CCTV operations, access control, and perimeter security systems.
Conduct regular patrols and inspections across critical areas (production, storage, utilities, and dispatch zones).
2. Incident Prevention & Response
Identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
Respond effectively to emergencies such as fire, theft, accidents, or unauthorized access.
Maintain incident logs, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective measures.
3. Manpower & Vendor Coordination
Supervise security guards, shift rosters, and deployment at strategic locations.
Conduct training and awareness programs for security staff.
Coordinate with third-party security agencies and ensure compliance with SOPs.
4. Compliance & Audits
Ensure adherence to plant safety and security policies, statutory regulations, and ISO/OSHAS requirements.
Support internal/external audits related to security and safety functions.
5. Logistics & Material Movement
Monitor inbound and outbound movement of raw materials, finished goods, and contractor vehicles.
Verify gate passes, challans, and material issue/return slips.
Implement Integrated Truck Management System (if applicable) to avoid pilferage.
6. Liaison & Reporting
Maintain liaison with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services.
Submit daily security reports (DSR) and monthly review updates to management.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of industrial security practices (preferably in renewable/solar manufacturing sector).
Proficiency in handling CCTV, access control, and emergency response systems.
Good leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of fire safety and first aid procedures.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate in any discipline / Ex-Serviceman preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing / Renewable Energy Plant.
Certification in Industrial Security / Fire & Safety will be an added advantage.
