The Assistant HR Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department in day-to-day operations and strategic HR initiatives. This position is responsible for assisting with recruitment, employee engagement, training, performance management, and HR administration. The Assistant HR Manager ensures the effective implementation of HR policies and compliance with employment laws while promoting a positive work environment aligned with the hotel's service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and documentation.
Maintain a talent pool and support internal transfers and promotions.
Employee Relations
Support in resolving employee conflicts and grievances with fairness and confidentiality.
Foster positive employee relations and support morale-boosting initiatives.
Assist in implementing employee recognition and engagement programs.
Training & Development
Coordinate and schedule employee training sessions.
Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with training requirements.
Work with department heads to identify training needs and development plans.
Performance Management
Assist in managing the performance appraisal process and probationary reviews.
Track performance metrics and support continuous feedback culture.
Provide support to managers on employee performance improvement plans.
HR Administration & Compliance
Maintain employee records, files, and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal policies, and standards.
Prepare HR reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of HR experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
