Experience Required: 10 - 15 years in Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Payroll - Manage all aspects of the payroll process, including data collection, processing, and distribution of employee payments.* Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and taxes.* Manage Payroll Team: Supervise and train payroll specialists, assigning tasks and overseeing daily workflow.* Maintain Records: Keep accurate and confidential employee payroll records, including hiring, terminations, and changes to pay rates.* Process Payroll: Oversee all payroll runs, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement of salaries, benefits, and deductions.* Generate Reports: Prepare accurate management and financial reports from payroll data for audits and other purposes.* Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and complex issues that arise.* Implement Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to update and improve payroll systems, software, and procedures.* Policy Development & Implementation: Create and update company policies and procedures to align with current legal and regulatory requirements.* Audits & Risk Assessment: Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential compliance gaps and assess risks, then recommend improvements.* Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact and communicate with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure filings and registrations are complete.* Record Keeping: Ensure all statutory records, registrations, and documentation under various acts are meticulously maintained and up-to-date.* Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve compliance issues and violations, developing crisis management plans when necessary.* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments, including HR, legal, and operations, to ensure consistent compliance across the organization.* Staying Informed: Keep abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations, adapting policies and procedures accordingly.*
