Job Description

Role Objectives



The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources and administrative activities at the Nagpur plant, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, managing employee relations, recruitment, training, and development, and driving HR initiatives that align with Beckers group strategies and people pillar. The role also focuses on fostering a positive work culture, optimizing workforce efficiency, and ensuring the management of all HR and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:



Recruitment & Staffing

: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for plant-level roles, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding. Work closely with department heads to understand manpower requirements and develop hiring plans and talent acquisition strategies to meet business and production needs.

Employee Relations

: Act as a point of contact for employees on HR-related matters, resolving grievances, disputes, and conflicts. Includes managing disciplinary all matters for the Plant. Ensure compliance with Maharashtra (Nagpur region) labour laws and maintain positive relationships with government and statutory bodies.

Compensation & Benefits

: Administer and manage payroll, salary structures, bonuses, and other benefits programs in collaboration. This includes managing annual salary review process and short-term incentives (STI). Collaborate with HR India & Regional HR to conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitiveness with industry standards while aligning with the company's living wage compensation policies.

Training & Development

: Develop and implement training programs that support skill development, career growth, and compliance with safety and operational standards. Identify employee development needs and create individualized development plans for key personnel. Promote leadership and team-building initiatives.

Performance Management and Check-In Conversations

: Drive the performance appraisal process, including annual goal-setting setting (KPIs) process, managing check-in conversations performance reviews, and identifying areas for improvement.

Workplace Culture & Employee Engagement

: Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and reduce turnover. This includes managing the bi-annual employee engagement survey. Organize team-building events, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives to improve morale.

Talent Management - People Review

: Conduct and manage annual People Review Process. Identify successors for key positions and facilitate growth conversation to identify development opportunities and plans.

Beckers Sustainability and Global HR Initiatives

: Collaborate with the Site Head & HR India and site management team to drive Beckers sustainability initiatives in country. This includes leading the implementation of its people pillar that includes Diversity/Inclusion, mental health initiatives and community engagement.

Employee Welfare and Administration:

This includes administration of payroll and its pay-out and all other employee benefits. Administration of employee welfare and benefits such transportation, food, stationary, office equipment, uniform etc.

HR Compliance & Reporting

: Ensure compliance with India (Maharashtra - Nagpur region) labour laws, safety regulations, and internal HR policies. Keep up to date with changes in labour legislation and advise senior management accordingly. Provide required reports to statutory bodies in the region.

HR Policies & Procedures

: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with corporate guidelines and local regulations. Ensure compliance to local statutory requirements and reporting. Communicate and train employees on company policies, procedures, and updates.

HR Systems & Technology

: Manage and optimize the use of myBeckers /HRIS for data accuracy, efficiency, and reporting. Ensure proper documentation of employee records and handle sensitive data with confidentiality.

Requirements:



Education

: Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

: Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing/plant environment. Track record in handling employee relations, labour law compliance, and recruitment.

Female candidates will be preferred.

Skills

: Strong understanding of Maharashtra (Nagpur region) labour laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lead, influence, and work collaboratively across teams Fluent in written and spoken English, Marathi, Hindi.
