The Assistant Manager - Housekeeping is responsible for supporting the housekeeping manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining cleanliness standards, managing housekeeping staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction in all housekeeping-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and coordinate housekeeping staff including room attendants, linen attendants, and public area cleaners.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure quality and adherence to brand standards.
Prepare daily work schedules and delegate responsibilities to housekeeping staff.
Monitor inventory and usage of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; coordinate with purchase department for replenishments.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maintaining departmental KPIs.
Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping with promptness and professionalism.
Maintain proper records related to staff attendance, room cleaning status, lost & found items, etc.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Support the Executive Housekeeper in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of housekeeping staff.
