Department Description
Fidelity Global Procurement has recently been formed to consolidate Procurement functions across the regions; it consists of approximately 70 staff based across India, UK, Continental Europe and Asia Pacific. The team manages approximately $700m of spend split between technology and non-technology categories. Currently the team is undertaking a global transformation programme to ensure it meets the organisation values and priorities.
Purpose of the Role
To deliver commercial sourcing and procurement initiatives and on-going supply governance/risk management support across FIL’s business functions. The Assistant Manager Sourcing Utility seeks to achieve value for money services, maximise operational efficiency, and provide effective risk mitigation and operational controls across a range of supply arrangements FIL enters. Primary duties include: taking responsibility for supply chain/ procurement activity, creation of contracts and scopes of work in conjunction with legal, negotiations, assisting and mentoring service owners in managing external supplier relationships in particular the performance management, service delivery, SLA monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

  • Be a part of and manage procurement helpdesk activities. Answer queries, coach helpdesk resources and manage escalations.
  • Accountability and responsibility for developing process for and managing pre and post negotiation contracting activities
    Facilitate Supplier Non-Disclosure Agreements execution and archival
    Undertake operational role regarding supplier contract execution
    Run e sourcing projects
    Perform sourcing project quality check and ensuring, that upon completion the sourcing projects have the necessary documentation in place.
  • Facilitate the contract life cycle management cycle - Drafting, Redlining, approval, execution, archival, records management, supporting audits & renewal triggers; managing contractual processes & formal contract changes; Supported document types will include (but not limited to) Master Services Agreements and Scope of Work, their amendments and Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Work closely with Legal and tax teams for contract documentation, closure, and contractual changes in line with Global regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Ensure that accurate and up to date contracts and supplier records are maintained, and commercially sensitive information managed in line with Fidelity’s information security standards.
  • Be a part of Procurement Helpdesk and answer end user queries
  • Train and create a pool of resources for CLM tasks
  • Perform tactical sourcing activities in line with category strategy.
  • Playing a key role in looking for cost optimisation measures to get value for money without hampering the delivery and quality.
  • Preparation of regular management reporting, Dashboards, and metrics.
  • Liaise with customers, business units, stake holders and build good working relationships with them.

Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Graduate + MBA in finance and Business administration (preferred).
  • Proven 6+ years’ experience in creating processes for offshore procurement teams.
  • Experience in working with IT and ITES organisation in procurement function which includes areas of technology and non-tech sourcing including hardware, telecoms, software, development, market information services, consultancy, building management services, transport/travel, HR services, professional services and managed outsourced services.
  • Experience as a functional user during a CLM tool implementation is preferred
  • Experience of managing cross organisational/multi-cultural project teams.
  • Experience in resolving supplier disputes – via either formal or informal means.
  • Experience in supporting global procurement
  • Good negotiation skills, team working skills, and ability to work and operate across teams.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload with a strong attention to detail.
  • Customer focused.
