Job Description

Summary: Prepare the designs and detailing of AIS/ GIS substation for pre-bid and detail engineering.
Pre-Requisite: Should have worked on design of EHV Substation/ power plant/ Oil & Gas projects
Key Responsibilities: Pre-Bid Design:


1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical querries.
2. Preparing preliminary design and estimating bill of quantity for structures and civil works for tender estimates.


Detail Engineering:


1. Prepare the design calculation of steel support structures and foundation for the substation equipment.
2. Prepare design and details of steel gantry structure and foundations.
3. Review the detail structural and fabrication drawing prepared by the fabricator.
4. Prepare design of control room building/ GIS building/ staff quarters etc. and do the RCC detailing.
5. Develop design and details of RCC wall, cable trenches, retaining wall/ boundary wall, surface drainage.
6. Prepare the details BOQ of civil item.
7. Check the drawings prepared by the draughtsman.
8. Reply the comments received from client.
9. Technical support to site at the time of project execution and commissioning.
10. Prepare as built drawing after commissioning of the substation.
11. Collection of the site data by site visit.

Inspection:
1. Prepare the inspection test report after the inspection of the steel structures at factory.
