We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented
Assistant Manager - Operations (Food & Beverage)
to support day-to-day catering operations. The role involves managing daily execution, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, ensuring food safety and quality, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate should have prior F&B operations experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple events smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Operations Management
Assist in planning and executing from start to finish.
Coordinate with kitchen, logistics, and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee set-up at client's location, service flow, and closing, ensuring timelines are met.
Maintain quality, hygiene, and presentation standards at all times.
Team Supervision
Supervise service staff and support teams during service.
Conduct regular briefings and assign duties effectively.
Train and mentor staff to maintain service standards and discipline.
Client & Guest Interaction
Act as a point of contact for clients during events.
Ensure guest satisfaction and handle on-ground complaints or requests professionally.
Support the sales team in understanding client requirements and delivering customized solutions.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor stock levels of catering supplies, equipment, and beverages.
Ensure proper usage and minimal wastage of food and materials.
Assist in vendor coordination and procurement as needed.
Administrative Support
Maintain event checklists, reports, and feedback forms.
Track operational expenses and support the manager in cost analysis.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Catering.
3-5 years of experience in F&B or catering operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills Required
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage large teams in fast-paced environments.
Practical knowledge of catering logistics and service standards.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with POS/inventory systems is an advantage.
