The external reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements every quarter. The team is also involved in the preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for the US State regulator including Yellow Books. This requires an in-depth understanding of US Statutory reporting requirements and the application of the same into the reports/schedules prepared for US State Regulators. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include Book accounting entries like General admin and operating expenses, deferral/amortization of expenses, Intercompany Gross ups, etc, Consolidated reporting of all the operating entities of AXA XL Division, Ability to analyze the impact of Currency translation and Revaluation, Preparing current IFRS and STAT financials and doing detailed variance commentary YoY. Work on various applicable quarterly BMA filings like Sch IV-A/ IV-D, IV, III, etc Basic understanding of Insurance technical reserves and other Insurance industry-related terminologies. Work on any data request from internal management/ external agencies/ auditors. Highly focused on automation/ simplification of the templates/ data requirement wherever possible. Participate in projects as required to ensure that financial data are handled in full accordance with statutory requirements. Expert accounting knowledge, with an excellent understanding of Financial Statements (P&L and BS). Robust command over MS Excel. Ability to work with large amounts of data. Desired Skills And Abilities Robust analytical skills and the ability to work self-directly and bring tasks to closure. Basic Insurance accounting knowledge preferred. Able to work extended hours during critical times. Good spoken & written Communication & interpersonal skills. Capable of working under smart working conditions, managing to work from home & office simultaneously.
