AXA XL Ceded Reinsurance is the centralized department for handling reinsurance requirements of the Insurance segment. The primary functions include the placement, administration, and reporting (internal and Statutory) of reinsurance. This department is on the ceded side of the insurance company. The FP&A team is responsible for providing reports to various stakeholders - the Insurance Leadership Team (for reports like Business Performance Metrics, the impact of treaty placements on Combined Ratio of Insurance Segment), Ceded Re-Placement team (for Budgeting, placement support, etc.) Finance (for accruals, bad debts provision on reinsurance recoverable, CDCA, etc.), Assisting in planning and re-forecasting exercise, providing data analytics support for treaty reinsurance purchase decision (as and when required). Financial reports to a wide range of teams - Insurance Leadership team, various teams in Finance, and Operations. It also provides reporting support to other areas within Ceded Re as and when required. Analysis of Ceded Performance against the plan, the impact of treaty placements on Combined Ratio (Insurance Segment) Exposure analysis concerning recoverable from major counterparts. Support for regulatory reporting requirements. DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include Work and assist the Ceded Re FP&A Manager in preparing and providing various financial analytics and reporting with a focus on quality review, timely delivery of reports, and collaboration with other teams and onshore. Prepare quarterly reports ceded financial dashboards. (Ceded Premium, Commission, Expenses, credit, and capital exposure, etc.) Treaty Placement analysis which results in the changes expected in written & earned premiums. Exposure analysis concerning recoverable from major counterparts. Support in regulatory reporting requirements. Development and maintenance of existing Excel reports to improve existing/new reports would be one of the core responsibilities. Support in Yearly Budgeting, Ceded Margin Analysis, Plan Allocation & other exhibits. Maintaining robust communication with onshore (both written and verbal) and managing expectations. Keeping the flexibility in reports to incorporate any high-level adjustments or structural changes. Support and involve in various Ceded Re projects. Provide backup to the core FP&A team and extended reporting team, in time of need. Ad hoc reports or projects. Will support Reinsurance Segment Reporting & Analysis. Will also assist in additional work on Legal Entity Reporting. You will report to Manager - Finance, Planning, and Analysis SHARE your talent We\'re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: CA/ICWA with 2-3 years of experience post qualification or MBA Finance (Full-time) from a highly reputed university with 4-5 years of experience post qualification. Robust analytical mindset, structured work approach, and high levels of attention to detail. Outstanding IT skills (MS Excel, MS Access). Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and manipulate huge volumes of financial and operational data. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines Ability to work self-directly in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment. Desired Skills and Abilities: Good communication & interpersonal skills. Demonstrate a high degree of interest in technological progress. Knowledge of HFM, Qlikview, and Anaplan will be of added advantage. Person from (Re) Insurance Industry would be preferred.
