Job Description


This role reports into Global Business Services \xe2\x80\x93 Statutory Corporate Services group and plays a vital role in reporting of financial information & analysis (both internal & external).

This position will prepare financial reports, maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of all entities (listed & unlisted) in India.

Your focus on the job will be to support Senior Manager \xe2\x80\x93 FR & AP to ensure accurate & timely preparation & submission of monthly / quarterly / annual accounts as per local GAAP as well as USGAAP.

Engage directly with business partners on routine activities and deliverables.

Local GAAP requirements:

Preparation of quarterly financial statements and annual disclosures as per IndAS, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.

Preparation of journal entries impacting local GAAP (IndAS)

Perform IndAS related workings

Preparing various P&L and Balance sheet schedules

Providing reasons for variances (PnL / BS)

Co-ordinating with Shared service centre team for accounting, Fixed assets & Intercompany related details & support required for local audit.

Fixed asset register review, perform calculation for depreciation & estimated useful life for a few assets on test check basis. Prepare PPE schedule.

Ensure accurate & timely intercompany invoices in co-ordination with Shared service center \xe2\x80\x93 Intercompany team.

Co-ordinate with auditors for resolving queries.

Preparation of Local GAAP & USGAAP reconciliation

USGAAP requirements:

Preparing monthly Sales adjustments and posting in SAP

Check detailed calculations for sales return accrual.

Ensure all month end MJEs for sales, product cost, samples etc are posted accurately & timely.

Ensuring appropriate accruals for expenses.

Timely submit SAP PC controls in system

Other activities:

Submitting crown requests for audit fees

Support to tax team for assessments, transfer pricing, internal audit, tax audit etc.

Performing cost center tagging reviews

Qualifications

Must-Have

Chartered Accountant with 3-6 years of experience in Accounting, Audit or Financial reporting

Strong technical India AS knowledge

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentation

Ability to work independently and as a team player

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demands effectively.

Excellent oral, written, and overall communication skills

Nice-to-Have

Experience in Financial Reporting function

SAP knowledge

Relevant pharmaceutical experience
