We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Finance
to join our finance team in Siliguri, West Bengal. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience, particularly in handling
Government or Public Sector projects
, and will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations
Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for government projects
Ensure compliance with government financial rules, regulations, and statutory requirements
Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and project-wise cost analysis
Coordinate with auditors, government departments, and external agencies
Manage fund utilization, billing, invoicing, and reconciliation for government contracts
Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost control
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closures
Maintain proper documentation as per government guidelines
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in
Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration
, or a related field
Professional qualifications such as
CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
will be preferred
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience as an
Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Finance
or similar role
Prior experience in handling
Government projects
is mandatory or highly preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Understanding of government billing, tender processes, and financial reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in public sector, PSU, or government-funded projects
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances related to government contracts
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
