Role

The Assistant Manager, Finance, plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. This position involves collaborating with various departments to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The Assistant Manager, Finance, reports to the Finance Manager and assists in managing day-to-day financial activities, primarily around budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate periodic financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand and validate budget assumptions.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and industry benchmarks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the implementation of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize banking services.
  • Develop and implement cash management strategies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for audit purposes.
  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department.
  • Implement efficient and effective financial procedures.
  • Streamline financial reporting processes for enhanced accuracy and speed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, procurement, and operations.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Experience and qualification:
  • Total 2-6 years of experience.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
