Your role :
We, at Khatabook are looking to hire a Assistant Manager - Finance. If you want to tackle hard and interesting problems at scale and create an impact within an entrepreneurial environment, this is the place for you.
What would you do at Khatabook :

  • Lead Accounts Payable process and ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
  • Review accounting entries and closing balances of vendors during the month end
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare workings for interest payable to MSME vendors
  • Publish weekly reports for vendor advances, overdue unpaid invoices and unadjusted provisions
  • Make payments for TDS and GST within due dates
  • File TDS and GST returns within due dates
  • Follow up with vendors for pending ITC claims
  • Assist external consultants with data for tax assessments
  • Ensure timely book closure every month for MIS preparation
  • Ensure compliances with relevant SOP
  • Set up process for vendor reconciliation
  • Set up new controls to improve the process
  • Prepare and maintain Fixed Assets Register on a monthly basis
  • Review useful life & salvage value of assets
  • Prepare workings for reversal of ITC as per GST law
  • Support team members and guide them in meeting teams objective
What are we looking for :
  • CA qualified with 2+ years of experience
  • Prior experience of leading Accounts Payable function in a startup
  • Good knowledge of accounting entries
  • Practical experience of TDS (including TDS on international transactions), GST (including reverse charge mechanism, blocked ITC etc)
  • Basic understanding of Schedule II (Fixed Assets) of Companies Act 2013
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
