Job Title: Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts Location: Mumbai Company: Leading Manufacturing company : We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Manager for Finance & Accounts to join a dynamic team at Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial and tax-related functions. Key Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Tax Leadership: Take the lead in overseeing both direct and indirect taxes for the organization. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and stay up-to-date with tax laws. 2. Direct Tax Compliances: Manage all aspects of direct taxes, including conducting tax audits, filing income tax returns (ITR), handling tax assessments, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) compliance, and reconciling tax data with Form 26AS. 3. Indirect Tax Management: Oversee compliance with indirect taxes, including audits, Internal Financial Control (IFC) adherence, preparation and submission of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2A, handling GST credit, and managing tax payments. 4. Tax State Subsidy: Monitor and ensure the company leverages any state-based tax subsidies or incentives it is eligible for. 5. Process Improvements & Automation: Identify opportunities for enhancing financial and tax-related processes. Implement automation tools and strategies to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Qualifications: - The ideal candidate should hold a Chartered Accountant qualification. Relevant Experience: - Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounting roles. Skills and Attributes: - Strong knowledge of taxation, both direct and indirect. - Excellent understanding of tax laws and compliance. - Attention to detail and ability to ensure accurate tax reporting. - Process improvement mindset and familiarity with automation tools. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and leadership abilities.
